Video Education Workshops

We provide a tailored, four-day workshop to train staff and frontline extension workers to create behavior change videos to screen them in rural, hard-to-reach locations.
  • Community-led: we work directly with communities to increase their engagement and build local capacity.
  • Learn by Doing: get trained in hands-on shooting, editing and video dissemination techniques.
  • Learn video planning and strategies for integrating video into your programming.

EquipMENT

We provide the equipment and software necessary for filming and projecting video. Our equipment kits are designed to be used in the field and in areas without access to electricity. illuminAid delivers:
  • Cameras, tripods and audio tools
  • Easy to use editing software 
  • Cordless projectors (bright enough for 50 people!)
  • Solar, AC, and DC charging solutions

capacity development

illuminAid believes it is crucial to ensure the integration and scalability of video creation into ongoing projects after the Video Education Workshop has been completed. We provide one year of capacity development support for workshop participants which focuses on:
  • Amplifying the message of partner organizations through video showings at the community level. 
  • Facilitating future video production for incorporation into new projects.
