With 20 participants from over ten different organizations, our September, 2018 return trip to Burkina Faso and partnership with UNICEF was one of our biggest workshops yet. Representing both nonprofit organizations and government agencies, providing aid on topics from health care to WASH to farming techniques, the potential impact this workshop could have on Burkina Faso’s poorest, most desperate citizens is inspiring.
Among the organizations represented at the workshop were GASCODE, a Burkina Faso-based non-profit that works in health services; CAMECA, a communication center that works for social change; La Voix du Paysan, a news publication for rural farmers; the Children Centre for Education and Social Welfare (CERESSE); the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA), working to strengthen primary health care for Burkina Faso’s poorest citizens; and Catholic Relief Services, whom we have worked with in the past in Guatemala, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau and our last visit to Burkina Faso.

We were incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to work with UNICEF, one of the largest humanitarian aid organizations in the world. With a presence in 190 countries across the globe, we hope our workshop in Burkina Faso is just the first step to a long, fruitful partnership.
