The Projector's Reach
Like with most things, an idea is easily formed. But often putting that idea into practice gets difficult. With NGOs in particular, coming up with a good message is the easy part. Getting that message out into the world is the challenge.
When our partner NGOs come to us for guidance, one of things we focus on is how to get their message, via video, out into their community -- even when the communities may not have access to the internet or even power. That’s where the battery powered projector comes in.
The projector we equip our partners with is incredible on several fronts. It is small enough to conveniently travel with to bring into communities. It weighs less than one pound (0.83 lbs.) and is 5.9in. x 3.5in. x 1.2in.
When fully charged the battery life of the projector is 2 and half hours. It can be recharged with solar panels or a motorcycle battery. When charged via the solar panels, it takes 3 and half hours to charge fully (depleted to full battery) on a clear day. When the projector is plugged into an outlet, it takes 2 and half hours to fully charge it.
The projector also shows videos and photos in HD, natively, (1280x720; 720p) which brings a clear picture to the audience. Additionally, the projector projects an image as small as 10 inches or as big as 120 inches. All that’s needed is a white sheet, a dark room or nighttime sky, and to work with illuminAid to understand just how powerful video can be.
Using this technology, NGOs bring their messages to the most remote and rural communities within their country. Information can now be spread far and wide with the aid of a battery powered projector and a video based message.
