Our Partners from CARE Malawi and Digital Green, Ethiopia and Recent Projector Shipments

Continued education is a major, if not the most important, part of what we do. After completion of our video workshops, integrating video into your behavior change strategy for future projects is the most effective way to take advantage of your new found expertise in video production.

Malawi, 2018

In 2018, illuminAid had the pleasure of visiting Salima, Malawi and working with the local community to build videos targeting disciplines of health, agriculture, and education.  By partnering with CARE, Malawi, beneficiaries were able to complete videos about proper handwashing techniques, breastfeeding, and infant nutrition.

CARE is an international organization that has been fighting poverty for 75 years and works with over 100 countries.  Along with illuminAid, CARE is very passionate about spreading health awareness and enhancing the lives of people living in the poorest communities in the world.

After this project, illuminAid interviewed a few of the beneficiaries to gauge how the training has left an impact on their day to day lives. Many were encouraged to adopt good behaviors and implement their new knowledge about infant nutrition.

Ethiopia, 2019

Ethiopia, 2019

illuminAid has partnered with Digital Green in both India and Ethiopia. In 2012, illuminAid partnered with Digital Green in Hyderabad, India and the key focus during this 4-day workshop was to improve farming practices and agricultural prosperity among farmers in rural communities. IlluminAid empowered and trained Digital Green staff to distribute their own video knowledge and agricultural education to remote areas.

CARE and DIgital Green are an exemplary example of how to bring illuminAid’s vision to life. Shipments of our projector kits are soon to be sent across the globe to Malawi and Ethiopia in order to assist with new projects. We are always excited to ship more equipment to organizations after they have been trained to help them further their skills and mission.

CARE plans to use projectors in an experimental approach to identify and observe changes from video education in households who receive training and households who don’t.

Digital Green has previously ordered 100 pico projectors within the past year and to their satisfaction, have ordered 50 more pico projectors to aid in their FarmStack initiative. Farmstack uses technology to teach farmers and other organizations cost-effective and productive practices to increase crop yield and income.

As a partner of illuminAid, you have the opportunity to take part in helping us reach and surpass our goals of making video education accessible to any marginalized community across the globe.  With travel restrictions loosening and the world steadily opening back up in 2021, what are you waiting for?
