Pathfinder Mozambique materializes post-workshop videos in record time
Less than two months after illuminAid completed a 4-day Video Education Workshop in Mozambique, Pathfinder International recently shared with illuminAid a few of their video creations that aim to promote their mission of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Pathfinder is a non-profit health organization that has long been empowering the most disenfranchised people in Africa and southeast Asia. In Mozambique, the health and safety of girls and young women has been a major focus. To get an idea of the challenges faced by women in the country, every year, 63,000 women give birth outside of a health facility, and almost half (46%) of child births are from women aged 19 years and younger. The scope of Pathfinder’s projects are broad and range from improving sexual and reproductive services, to promoting family hygiene and sanitation practices, to deploying trained community health workers to provide women’s rights advocacy and counseling, just to name a few.
The speedy turnaround time for post-workshop videos and impressive production quality is a powerful testament to the dedication of Pathfinder International, as well as to the effectiveness of illuminAid’s Video Education Workshops. The post-workshop videos were created with the assistance of local community members, and recorded in the local language (Portuguese) and dialect. Below are ready-to-be-disseminated videos on family hygiene and sanitation practices.
