Press play for better implementation

We love it when a plan comes together. It doesn’t matter if that’s a fundraiser, a recipe or a sports team. We understand what it’s going to take to succeed. We devise the steps, and then we take action. That’s called implementation. But, sometimes, we might have the best plan, but someone, somewhere, misses a step, and the plan fails.

How can we avoid this?

The key to a successfully implemented plan is to use the right kind of communication from beginning to end. This is where video can be your best tool, especially if your plan involves a lot of people spread out over a vast geographic region. Communication through video allows everyone to hear the same message and get the same information without needing to be in the same room as the communicator. Video is also easily reviewed for clarity.

A good video can help your team understand the project’s timelines and goals. You can clearly define everyone’s roles and responsibilities. You can even demonstrate what the end result will look like. Because most people learn better with visuals, graphics can be added with important points. Individuals can see what the objectives are. Everyone starts off on the same page. Video might also spark new ideas and help uncover new technologies.

Think about this as you begin your next project. It might be best to start by getting out the camera. Add some well-crafted graphics with clear objectives and timelines? This can be just the thing you need to see your great plan come together.
